About
| I AM SARAH RUGH’S ARTIST STATMENT: The only purpose to my work is that I share what has been shared with me. One day it may look like a flower painted on a 40 year old woman’s leg and the next day it might be a photo shoot for some portraits. My job is to show up and be a witness to the magic that life has to offer and not to judge what the outcome is supposed to look like. I think dinosaurs and robots are cool. I don’t think I will ever be perfect at life, but I sure try to laugh as much as possible.
A BIT MORE ABOUT SARAH: Sarah Rugh is a Seattle-based artist. She studied photography and dance at the University of Washington and Grand Valley State University. She has volunteered as a mentor for several years with Youth in Focus, a nationally recognized youth development program that offers a variety of photography classes. She has received awards for her work though Scholastic, Best of College Photography, Seattle Central Community College, and Forum Magazine. She currently works painting faces around the Seattle Area and is eager to continue her artist education and see her path unfold. Her art, like her life, can be described as quirky and random and will always deliver a welcome surprise. |
